Abstract: Peripheral neuropathy is the most common neurological disease in HIVinfected people. Distal symmetrical peripheral neuropathy, acute inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy and mononeuropathy multiplex are the most common clinical complications, which seriously affect  life quality of patients. This article aims to analyze the pathophysiological changes and pathogenesis of HIV peripheral neuropathy (HIVPN), to understand the clinical manifestations of HIVPN, and to summarize its experience in diagnosis and treatment, so as to guide clinicians to correctly understand, reasonable prevent the disease, and  standardize the diagnosis and treatment.
