Diagnosis and treatment of  laryngopharyngeal reflux

Abstract

Abstract: In otolaryngology practice， there is a rising concern with the current diagnosis and management of laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR). Many common head and neck symptoms in LPR depend on empiric therapy，but there are many patients who show no overall improvement in the symptoms. This article reviews the otolaryngologists’ approach to LPR， the various ways in the diagnosis， and the guidelines in otolaryngology management of LPR.
