Abstract: As one of the main features of cirrhosis, portal hypertension (PH) is associated with several clinical consequences. Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts (TIPS) has been regarded as a major technical advance in the management of PHrelated complications. Recent years have seen the application expansion of TIPS along with the advancement of technology. Therefore, this article discusses the current knowledge of TIPS in PH.
