Role of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt in management of portal  hypertension

Abstract: As one of the main features of cirrhosis, portal hypertension (PH)  is associated with several clinical consequences. Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts (TIPS) has been regarded as a major technical advance in the management of  PHrelated complications. Recent years have seen the application expansion of  TIPS along with the advancement of technology. Therefore, this article discusses  the current knowledge of TIPS in PH.
