Abstract: Alcoholic liver disease (ALD) is a chronic disease caused by chronic alcohol abuse, and its histological spectrum ranges from hepatic steatosis, steatohepatitis, fibrosis, and ultimately to cirrhosis. Due to the incomplete understanding of pathogenesis, little progress has been made in ALD treatment. So, we attempt to discuss the effects of oxidative stress, endoplasmic reticulum stress, nitrative stress and  lipid regulators in the pathogenesis of ALD.
