Abstract: Fecal bacteria transplantation(FMT) originated in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring-States Period 2700 years ago, however, its treatment on ulcerative colitis is still in infancy. The process of FMT mainly includes the selection of the donor, preparation of the bacterial liquid and introduction of the liquid. The treatment has no serious side effects, and is relatively safe. But, its effect is not as remarkable as in Clostridium difficile infection's treatment. The clinical effect from different studies varied greatly. It may relate to the lack of uniform criteria for the selection of indications, the selection of the donor and the process of transplantation.
