Abstract: Eosinophilic esophagitis is currently defined as a chronic, immunemediated or antigenmediated esophageal disease characterized by eosinophilpredominant inflammation. Because of the similarities in clinical symptoms and pathology, it is difficult to identify eosinophilic esophagitis and gastroesophageal reflux disease. The article reviewed the similarities and differences between eosinophilic esophagitis and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
