Abstract: Clostridium difficile is the major cause of antibiotic associated diarrhea and hospital acquired infectious diarrhea. In developed countries and regions,  C. difficile  infections have high morbidity and mortality and have received broad attention. In comparison,  China's data on C. difficile,  especially on its resistance to commonly used antibiotics, is limited. Hence, this paper reviews the latest research progress on resistant status of  C. difficile  and its resistant mechanism.
