Abstract: Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) plays a very important role in the diagnosis of digestive system disease. Endoscopic ultrasound elastography (EUSE) can realize visualization and quantitative assessment of lesions of gastrointestinal tract and adjacent organs and improve the diagnosis efficiency of EUS. Besides,  EUSE can provide additional information to endoscopic ultrasoundguided fine needle aspiration (EUSFNA),  which can improve the accuracy of disease diagnosis and histological acquisition. This review mainly focused on the methodology of EUSE and its clinical applications. This paper mainly summarizes the principle,  method and clinical application of EUSE.
