Abstract: In recent years， the incidence of diabetes mellitus is increasing. In addition to oral antidiabetic agents（OADs）， insulin and its analogs have been widely applied to clinical treatment，and they have become the preferred option especially when the OADs failed. The advantages of insulin and its analogs have the distinct curative effect， safety， wide application range， etc. The  aim of this article  is to review  current situation of diabetes insulin therapy  and  to provide reference for reasonable application of insulin and its  analogs.
